Kroger Plans to Cut 3,000 Jobs as It Expands AI Use
Kroger plans to eliminate 3,000 corporate jobs over the next three years as it expands its use of artificial intelligence. CEO Greg Foran told employees, “The way work gets done is changing across every industry; we must adapt and take advantage of technology.”
As businesses use AI to improve efficiency, workers are beginning to experience the changes firsthand. An AI Dividend Trust Fund would help ensure Americans share in the economic value AI creates, even as companies rethink how work gets done.
